Revisions After Weight Loss Surgery
For some, an initial weight loss surgery may not be enough to provide satisfactory long-term weight loss, and for these patients, a revision weight loss surgery may be necessary.
In others, revision surgery may be needed to address problems such as reflux or GERD. Revision options depend on the initial bariatric surgery that was performed and will be determined after a comprehensive evaluation of the patient, including an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and other diagnostic studies.
